THE STORY SO FAR
I was born in Rustenburg in 1972 and have been creating art for as long as I can remember. I studied Fine Arts at the Vaal Triangle Technicon, where I completed my National Diploma (1991–1993) and National Higher Diploma (1994–1995).
For the past 28 years, I’ve worked as an artist in South Africa, London and Scotland. Each place has shaped the way I see and express the world around me. My work is guided by instinct, texture and light, often inspired by quiet moments and the subtle beauty of everyday life.
THE Journey
I can still remember how I used to search through my parents’ house finding objects to draw in my sketchbook. My love for form and lines started at a very young age. My friends at school used to give their art history papers to me to answer and I did that with enjoyment and passion to help them.
My five years at the Vaal Triangle Technicon in the Arts department was a life changing and wonderful experience. I’m so thankful to my parents who were always so supportive and believed in my dreams. You are part of every brushstroke and colour I use. This is how my art career started.

We are all born as creative beings and each person has the ability and desire to create – paint, draw, sing, dance write etc…
Art classes at Die Kunshuis are informal where you can freely explore, experiment and express your artistic ability by using various mediums and techniques.
I am there to guide and help you on your creative journey.
Kids and adults of all ages are welcome, whether you are a beginner or have experience and just need more guidance.

My Muse
To my son, Wium and my brother Henk, you two are my rock in calm and rough oceans and you are part of my inspiration on my creative journey.
